Country Club Terrace

Encompassed by Augusta Square, Country Club Terrace, as its name implies, is an upscale community in McAllen, with access to country clubs, shopping, education, McAllen International Airport, Interstate 2, and other attractions. Homes here are large, between 3,800 and 6,400 square feet, and sell for around $200 per square foot.

Royal Oak Estates is an ideal community for families, thanks to its affordable median home price of $219K and the presence of 3 highly-rated schools within the neighborhood. Bordered by W. Trenton Rd., N. Col Rowe Blvd., and N. 4th St., this area is centrally located. Visit the International Museum of Art and Science; attend the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, or take any of the nearby roads to any RGV destination. 

Wood Hollow - Trenton Park

The Wood Hollow - Trenton Park area of McAllen is a vibrant location intersected by numerous streets and providing easy access to schools, gardens, employers, and more. At $124 per square foot, and a median listing price of $232K, this is one of the city's more affordable neighborhoods. 

Westway Avenue 

Bisected by Westway Ave., this aptly-named neighborhood offers large homes between 2,500 and 3,600 square feet at an average price of $240K. Near 3 schools ranked above average, this is a good neighborhood for families with school-aged children, and offers a diverse array of styles and options for house hunters.

Hackbury Creek has some of the lowest housing prices in McAllen, with a median listing price of just $160K. These homes are ideally located near excellent schools, along with proximity to the McAllen Youth Baseball Complex, shopping, dining, and entertainment. The community is bordered by N. 23rd St., 5.5 Mile Line, and Bicentennial Ave.

Tuscan Estates is an in-demand, upscale community in McAllen. Bordered by N. 6th St., this neighborhood's expansive homes are rarely for sale, but can cost more than $900K. With proximity to some of the most highly rated schools in the city, along with proximity to McAllen's very best amenities, this is an ideal place for upper class families looking for elegance and comfort. 

Waterwalk

Thanks to the presence of a pond in the middle of the neighborhood, Waterwalk does offer the chance to literally walk along the water. In addition, this neighborhood is moderately priced, with homes costing about $279K to $295K. With square footage between 1,200 and 3,700 square feet, families have many options from which to choose when looking for a beautiful and well-situated home within McAllen.

This large neighborhood in McAllen is very affordably priced, with a median home price of $170K and average home size of 1,400 square feet. Bounded by Bicentennial Blvd., N. 10th St., and W. U.S. Business 83, this busy subdivision is close to schools, entertainment, dining, and shopping, all for a very desirable price. 

Cardona at Bentsen Lakes

This upscale McAllen neighborhood is bordered by Uvalde Ave. West, and S. Bentsen Rd. Very close to Bentsen Elementary School, this subdivision offers homes that range from the $300's to the $900's. These large, 4 and 5 bedroom homes offer beautiful, comfortable living close to many of McAllen's most in-demand amenities. 

Via Cantera

Via Cantera boasts large homes between 3,300 and 6,600 square feet, for an affordable median home price of about $240K. Bordered by N. 1st St. and E. Wisconsin Rd., this neighborhood offers beautiful, stylish homes for families. Near the McAllen Hike and Bike Trail, various parks, highly rated schools, and more, this is a place the entire family can enjoy. 

Gardenia Terrace

Small homes of around 1,500 square feet sell for about $255K in this popular McAllen neighborhood. Bordered by the 4 Mile Line, N. 29th St., and Dove Ave., Gardenia Terrace is located near Zinnia Park, as well as entertainment, shopping, dining, and schools. These homes are usually ranches of about 3 bedrooms that offer quiet and convenient living in the city. 

Las Villas

This neighborhood's medium-sized homes range in size from 2,100 to 3,000 square feet, for about $229K. Bordered by Larkspur Ave. and Jonquil Ave., this subdivision is home to at least 3 excellent schools with ratings as high as 8 out of 10. Close to attractions such as the International Museum of Art and Science and Alfredo "Boxer" Hernandez Stadium, this is a desirable area to live within McAllen.
